Ingredients
- 2-3 bone in chicken breasts with the skin removed
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbs minced garlic
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes {unless you dare to use more}
- 2 tbs corn starch mixed with 2 tbsp water to make a slurry
Instructions
Spray the crock of your
slow cooker with no stick spray
Place the chicken
breasts in pot
Salt and pepper the breasts
Add in the brown sugar, cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, add red pepper flakes
Cook on low for 6 hours
or high for 3
Remove the chicken and
and shred with 2 forks discard the bones and reserve the liquid
Place liquid in a
saucepan over high heat
Add the cornstarch
slurry and bring to a boil and cook until thickened and reduced by half. approx
5-8 min
Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve with rice
Don't put all the sauce on the rice it gets to be too much.
